DU students want scrapping 7 affiliated colleges

Dhaka University students have demonstrated at campus demanding the university cut ties with the recently affiliated educational institutions.

Hundreds of students demonstrated at the base of Raju Sculpture this morning complaining that “the students of those university are tagging themselves as students of Dhaka University”.

“Those students of seven colleges are identifying themselves as students of DU and engaging in misdeeds,” said protester Jubair Ahmed, a final year student of history department.

The government has affiliated  Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Mohila College, Mirpur Government Bangla College and Government Titumir College with Dhaka University.

Under the arrangement, their curriculum has been brought under Dhaka Unviersity.
