Lankan minister sacked for rocking coalition

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday sacked a minister who had threatened to split his coalition government, three weeks after another was fired for publicly criticising a government decision. Sirisena's office said Arundika Fernando, junior minister for tourism and Christian affairs, was expelled from the government under the executive powers of the president.
