In Bollywood, the word “style” is almost synonymous with Sonam. However, this wasn't always so. Right after she debuted with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya, Sonam was mostly seen sporting looks with the typical girl-next-door vibe. She usually went with sleek straight hair, glossy nude lips and tight-lined eyes with heavily bronzed cheeks.
Since then, Sonam's style statement has always been on the mark and only gotten better with each outing. Be it the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, India Couture Week 2016, or again the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, she shall forever be our style inspiration!
Perhaps playing the brash Bittu in Delhi 6 and bratty yet sophisticated Aisha in Aisha is what brought about a change in her style spectrum and ease into high street fashion and couture outfits. Soon after she was signed as the face of the global brand L'Oréal and there was no turning back for the diva.
Sonam was spotted in Milan Fashion Week 2012 rocking long flowing mahogany locks, brown smoky eyes and a severe middle part which she almost patented and can be seen sporting every now and then. Soon after Sonam started experimenting with Indo-Western fusion looks starting with one of her most famous looks in the 65th Cannes Film Festival in 2013 where she paired a saree with a coatie and accessorized the look with a Marathi nose ring.
