Not before the negotiator is dead

The words have left me bare, and the caged bird

Is in cahoots with the spineless tiger, so be it

If the truth leads us to another, who's to blame

For the sorrow? 

I blame the negotiator who thought peace

Was in unity of thoughts, and rivers

Would flow with kindness and dignity, at the 

Thought of coming together

But time and tide are forever young and sour

Among themselves-conflicted and treacherous, let them

Fight, for unity achieved through ideology

Is worse than death, and pathetic

Rightly so, because the words leave without goodbyes

And the spineless tiger stabs the caged bird but fails

The sorrow cuts out through the world, unnoticed

But not before the negotiator is dead -
