2 ‘JMB militants’ held from Tejgaon

Law enforcers today claimed arrest of three militants of the banned Islamist outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), held from Dhaka’s Tejgaon area.

One among them is the regional chief of the banned group in Jenidah, said a text message floated to the media from Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) this morning.

During the raid, Rab-2 also claimed to have seized some local arms, extremism-inciting books and foreign currencies in the possession.

Further details will be disclosed later in a press briefing later today.
