Road crashes kill 7

Seven people were killed and 10 others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.

In Bogra, three men were killed as a bus of Shyamoli Paribahan rammed their motorbike on Domar-Nilphamari road at Charmatha, reports a correspondent.

The dead are motorcyclist Md Hridoy, 25, his father Md Kalam, 45, of village Shashibadan, and Shree Gada, 30, of village Rajakpur.

The bus driver managed to flee.

UNB from Munshiganj reports, three people, including two women, were killed and 10 others injured when a Tongibari-bound bus of SS Paribahan plunged into a pond at Raushunia Daniapara in Sirajdikhan upazila.

The dead are Salma Begum, 35, Geeta Paol, 60, and bus driver Swapon Miah, 35.

The injured were taken to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex and one of them was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

On information, divers from local fire service station launched a salvage operation.

Our Rajshahi correspondent adds, Abdur Rouf, 48, an instructor of Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute, died when a human haulier hit his motorcycle before RAKUB building in Rajshahi city's Nawdapara area.
