In pictures: Rain causes chaos in city life

Incessant rain continues for a second day in the capital as well as in Chittagong amid the ongoing depression that formed in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, many parts of the capital as well as the port city have gone under ankle to knee deep water, causing acute sufferings to the city people.

Lack of public transports multiplied the sufferings of commuters in the city today. Many complained that rickshaw pullers were asking for higher fare, and buses were all jam packed today. Dhaka had witnessed 30mm of rain since 6:00am this morning and it is likely to linger till tomorrow, the weatherman had said.
