The International Crimes Tribunal-1 yesterday directed the prosecution to submit investigation report, if any, on December 27, in a case filed against a Jessore man for allegedly committing crimes during the 1971 Liberation War.
Yesterday was fixed for submitting the report but Prosecutor Zead Al Malum sought three months' time.
However, the three-member tribunal led by Justice Md Shahinur Islam allowed one and a half months.
The accused -- Amjad Hossain Mollah, 77, of Premchara village in Bagharpara upazila -- has been in Jessore Jail since his arrest on May 15 in a case filed under Explosive Substances Act.
On May 17, he was shown arrested in the war crimes case following a prosecution's petition.
Meanwhile, the tribunal deferred the charge hearing to November 30 in a case filed against eight men from Jamalpur and Mymensingh for allegedly committing crimes in 1971, as the defence counsel did not show up yesterday, said Prosecutor Abul Kalam.
Of the accused, Rezaul Hauqe alias Akkas Moulvi, 65, and Badaruzzaman alias Chand Kazi, 65, are from Muktagachha upazila in Mymensingh.
