DIGITAL WORLD 2017 What awaits us?

Digital World, the biggest tech expo in Bangladesh, is back again this year starting from December 6, 2017. This year the theme for the expo is 'Ready for Tomorrow' – to showcase how the ICT sector has grown and matured over the last decade. Bangladesh government, considering its stance to ride the tide of 4th industrial revolution (4IR), wants the mass to know how the fusion of technologies is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres.

This multi-facet expo will be providing a platform to establish a network with the local and regional/ global IT-ITES industry leaders and experts to share their best practices and experiences. In this four-day-long event will be hosting more than two hundred ICT experts, analysts and representatives from top global IT firms. The exhibition this year will have several regular elements. In addition to that, Sophia- world’s first social robot is going to make an appearance during this expo.

It will also have more than 300 stalls and pavilions for IT Exposition, 24 seminars and panel discussions & a ICT Career Camp- all of these aim to connect investors, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and IT workforce of the country.

The high voltage sessions of this year's digital world are:

* Disruptive Technologies VCs are investing in which will be attended by: Fazle Kabir, Governor, Bangladesh Bank; Professor Dr. M. The ICT Division, in association with BCC, BASIS and A2i has organised this mega event. ICT Division has also collaborated with Bangladesh Association of Call Centre and Outsourcing (BACCO), e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-Cab), Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) and professional bodies including Bangladesh Computer Society, Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF), Bangladesh women in IT (BWIT) and CTO Forum.
