DU Natya Sangsad traveling to India with “Kakcharitra”

The Dhaka University Natya Sangsad, the only platform of the university's students' theatre practice, is traveling to India with their maiden production. The troupe left Dhaka for North Bengal's (India) Jhargram yesterday, where they will stage their production “Kakcharitra” on the closing day of the 'Anandan Natyamela 2017'.

The play, written by Manoj Mitra and directed by Shubhra Goswami, premiered on December 9 at the TSC Auditorium of Dhaka University (DU).

General Secretary of the troupe Rafiqul Alam Shabuj expressed hopes of staging the play at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and other venues after their return.
